Shirley Smith Obituary

Shirley A. Peeples Smith, 83, of Titusville, passed away on Tuesday March 26, 2024, at her residence.

Shirley was born on April 6, 1940, in Titusville to the late Gerald and Louise Miller Fox. She married Zerrald I. "Butch" Peeples on October 19, 1963, in Titusville. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1992. She married Russell Smith on April 8, 2006. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2019.

She attended Townville Schools.

Shirley worked for many years for Don and Catherine McKinnney and was also employed at Robinson's Wall Coverings.

She attended the Titusville Free Methodist Church and Wesleyan Methodist Church.

Shirley enjoyed reading her bible and listening to Dr. David Jeremiah. She looked forward to camping with her family and friends, and loved her cat, Precious.

She is survived by four children, Teresa Lindsey of Linesville, Lisa Smith and fiancé Bob, Brian Peeples and wife Stacy, Jeffrey Peeples and wife Lacey all of Titusville; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a sister Ruth Hasbrouck and husband Edward of Titusville; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Fox; and two son in laws, Larry Lindsey and Darrin Smith.

No public calling hours will be observed. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Interment will be at Sunville Cemetery.
