Obituary of Julie Ellsworth Fredericks
Julie Ann Rowe Ellsworth Fredericks of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 27, 2017.
Born May 3, 1931 to Dorotha Louise Peiffer Rowe & Kenneth Guy Rowe of Titusville, PA., Julie Ann graduated from Titusville High School (Class of 1949). Matriculated at Edinboro University and New York University. Married to the late Emerson Clarence Ellsworth in 1954. She studied with the Chautauqua Dance Company for four years under the direction of Winneatt Binboni of New York City. Graduated from Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle (CLSC) in 1963 where she spent her summers studying art and art history.
President of the Titusville Women’s Club, Presbyterian Women and Region of The Henry Flagler Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution in Palm Beach Florida. Owned and operated Julie Ann Fashions in Titusville PA for 22 years. Member of the Presbyterian Church for 60 years and past Deacon. Active in Chamber of Commerce and community affairs.
Retired to Palm Beach Florida in 1998 and married Robert L. Fredericks at her home at Peek & Peak, Finley Lake, New York in 2001. Summered in Chautauqua Institution, New York and Titusville, PA. Julie Ann is survived by her husband Robert Fredericks, brother Thomas H. Rowe and his wife Patricia, step daughter Sherrie Fredericks, son John K. Ellsworth (Col. USAF Ret.) and his wife Kelly, along with her daughter Julie Ellsworth Cox and her husband William. Nephews are Steve, James & David Rowe and her two grandchildren include Mary Katherine Ellsworth and Emerson Stuart Cox.
Memorial gifts can be directed to the First Presbyterian Church, 16 North Franklin Street, Titusville, PA 16354. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Titusville on Saturday, August 18 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a lunch in the social hall.
