Mr. Forest E. Moore, Jr., 92, of Brevillier Village in Erie passed away at 4:15 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2018. He also previously resided with his wife and family in Tryonville, Townville, Ft. Lauderdale and Titusville.
Mr. Moore was born on December 3, 1925, in Tidioute to the late Forest E. and Linne (Walter) Moore. He married Leah B. Warner on March 1, 1952 in Hydetown.
He was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, class of 1944.
Mr. Moore was employed by the Dodge Garage and later went to work for Universal Cyclops Specialty Steel Corp as a forklift mechanic for 32 years. He retired in 1982.
Forest was a member of the Oil City Shindiggers. Over the years he and his wife made lots of wonderful friends while square-dancing and traveling.
He is survived by his wife Leah Moore of Erie; a daughter, June Cianciaruli of Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 sons, James Moore and wife Cheryl of Meadville, Allen Moore and wife Kathy of Wesleyville; 7 grandchildren, Patrick Moore and wife Natasha of Oklahoma City, OK, Jeremiah Moore and wife Karla of Meadville, Beth Morfenski of Meadville, Cheri Houle of Odessa, FL, Sean Houle and wife Dawn of Julian, NC, Keith Moore and wife Julie of Wesleyville, Eric Moore and wife Tracy of Fairview; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Forest was preceded in death by 2 half-brothers, Charles and Richard Stephenson and a half-sister Lillian Spangler.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville Pa 16354 on Tuesday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM with the funeral service to follow conducted by Rev. Larry Reitz, pastor of the First United Methodist Church.
Interment will be in East Troy Cemetery.
