Clarence Bunce Obituary

Clarence “Pete” Alan Bunce, 69, of Cooperstown (Sunville), PA, formerly of Leesburg, FL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning February 18, 2026 in Sunville, PA surrounded by the love of his family.

Pete was born on January 26, 1957, in Meadville, PA. He was a graduate of Clermont High School in Clermont, Florida, class of 1975. He was a veteran having served in the US Army. He had worked as a diesel mechanic and a heavy equipment operator throughout his life.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lytle Raymond Bunce of Edinboro and his mother, Alice Dean Beranek of Centerville; and his beloved wife, April Lynn Owens Bunce, who passed in October of 2024. Their love and commitment to one another were a beautiful example to their family.

Pete is survived by his son, Peter Bunce and daughter-in-law Ashley Mojica Bunce of Yalaha, FL; his cherished grandchildren Mackenzie, Natalie, Gracie, and Elisha; and his daughter Krystal and son-in-law Brent DiFrancesco of Springfield, VT.

He also leaves behind his loving and caring family; a sister, Deborah Wilson of Meadville, PA, a brother, John Bunce and wife Holly of Sunville, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews, his step-mother, Kathy Bunce of Titusville, PA; a step-sister, Kim Keep and companion Gary Beck of Edinboro, PA and a step-brother, James Howles and his wife Diane of Zephyr Hills, FL.

Pete was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He had a servant’s heart and found joy in helping others. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was rarely idle and was always working on something, whether fixing, building, or lending a helping hand.

Above all, Pete was a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, and his faith guided his life. His strength, generosity, and steady presence will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so dearly.

There will be a private gathering to celebrate Pete's life.
